New Body of Work using wheel-thrown cylinders

This is a return to my altered human/wheel-forms. I have always been fascinated with the human form in art.  First, I start off with a wheel-thrown cylinder then alter it to resemble a human torso or other areas. Once I fine-tuned and detailed, I bisque fire then glaze fire to cone 5 oxidation afterwards.

Three Human forms, 11 inches tall. 2024.

Early one with no outer glaze applied - fired naked, 9 inches tall. 2024.

Couple with satin Mayco patina glaze, 11 inches tall. 2024.

Palladium and yellow, 12 inches tall. 2024.

Cosmos Super Nova form, porcelain, 8 inches tall. 2024.

I start with this...

And end up with this.

Stoke & Coat glazes, not too sure if I like the glossiness. Wheel-thrown with some additional clay added to complete the head and arms, 12 inches tall. 2024.
